He leads the entire Operations value chain including strategic purchasing, demand and planning, manufacturing plants, distribution and transportation. His extensive experience leading business projects in multinational environments, as well as his remarkable leadership and communication skills, along with a results-oriented business vision, have forged his reputation for Operational Excellence and Strategic Thinking.

- Degree in Industrial Organisation from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia.
- Diploma in Mechanical Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia.
- Degree in Law from the University of Navarra.
José Manuel has been Chief Operating Officer of MSA Safety (NYSE: MSA) since 2019 and is responsible for Operations P&L and customer satisfaction in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Oceania. He currently leads the entire Operations value chain including strategic purchasing, demand and planning, manufacturing plants, distribution and transportation.
He has extensive experience of more than twenty years leading business projects in multinational environments, highlighting his ability to identify, analyse and exploit market and business opportunities. He has lived and held different executive roles in Europe, China, Hong Kong and the United States, highlighting his position as General Director of Asia at SRG Global from 2014-2017, and General Director of Europe and Asia from 2017-2018.
During his professional career he has built a reputation for Operational Excellence and strategic thinking in extremely competitive, hugely complex and highly regulated markets. He has remarkable leadership and communication skills, along with a results-oriented business vision. He regularly advises and collaborates with national and international companies on issues of operations and competitive strategy.
