Day 1 | Monday, 29 May – Lecture: Wood as a material
An analysis of the opportunities and limitations of the project will be carried out, looking for design strategies, creative processes, recurring concerns and themes, ways of approaching the project, etc. This analysis will generate a clear concept that can be developed architecturally.
Day 2 | Tuesday, 30 May – Lecture: Wood products
After the wood construction class, the groups of students should conduct extensive research on wood products to bring their future proposal to fruition.
Result: They will have to make a selection of wood products and configure their proposal spatially by means of a series of sketches.
Day 3 | Wednesday, 31 May – Lecture: Construction with wood 1
The groups of students should discuss the plans and sections of their proposal verbally and, above all, graphically.
Day 4 | Thursday, 1 June – Lecture: Construction with wood 2
The groups should develop the execution between the wood material and the glass, and other relevant details. At the same time, the group will produce a drawing to outline the different possibilities for the final image of the project.
On this day, the students will present:
- Sectioned construction or axonometric detail with a scale of 1:10.
- Final plans and sections.
- Project image.
- Definitive project model.
Day 5 | Friday, 2 June
The students will attend the Construction with Wood Forum at the Baluarte Conference Centre.
Day 6 | Saturday, 3 June
- Lecture: Future.
- Final presentation of the projects to the professors and guests.
